The residents of Thurston County, Washington are voting now, and Our Revolution is getting out the vote for E.J. Zita and Bill Fishburn, to bring a progressive majority to the Port Commission!
E.J. Zita is a farmer, teacher, and scientist, and has served as the sole progressive voice on the Port Commission since 2015. As Port Commissioner, she has improved accountability, and supported responsible projects in local cities. If re-elected, E.J. Zita would continue to support sustainable economics, job opportunities, and environmental integrity.
Bill Fishburn has been a community leader and organizer in Thurston for many years, volunteering for the PTA, Scouts, ACLU and serving as President and Treasurer of the Hispanic Roundtable of South Sound since 2008. He would work together with E.J. Zita to ensure that the Port Commission is a model of transparency and public inclusivity. He would work to create career pathways for the Port of Olympia's veterans, provide opportunities for local farms, food producers and breweries, and to develop sources renewable energy and the jobs it brings.
